Head-to-head for women
MadeMed vs NewSelf
MadeMed and NewSelf both offer GLP-1 telehealth to women, but they make different trade-offs on PCOS and hormonal suitability, clinical oversight, price and access. Here they are side-by-side on the Luna Fit Score — our women's-health rubric.

Best for: Women who are certain they want three months of a flat-priced compounded GLP-1 and will not need to change their mind, because changing it is expensive here.
Visit NewSelfThe verdict for women
MadeMed edges out NewSelf on the Luna Fit Score, 84 to 64 (B vs C). Women who expect to titrate and want to know today what month six costs, and who want an oral route available without switching provider. The reasoning behind that number is in what we found reviewing MadeMed.
NewSelf is still a genuine option — one price at any dose, three months of medication shipped up front — and a set of exit terms and unresolved compliance problems that make it the hardest program on this board to leave. Weigh the six women's-health factors below against your own priorities; our NewSelf write-up for women goes through each of them, and if neither of these two is the one, our ranked shortlist of NewSelf alternatives widens the field.

Luna Fit
MadeMed
Ranked #7 · Grade B
What we like
- One price at every dose, published dose by dose — semaglutide $239/mo from 0.25mg to 2.4mg, tirzepatide $399/mo from 2.5mg to 15mg
- LegitScript verified, with board-certified physician review and US compounding pharmacies
- Oral semaglutide and oral tirzepatide are both offered alongside the injections
The caveats
- Compounded medication is not FDA-approved the way brand Ozempic, Wegovy, or Zepbound are
- 40 states rather than nationwide — check yours before you start
- Tirzepatide is among the pricier entries on this board at $399/mo quarterly
Luna Fit
NewSelf
Ranked #54 · Grade C
What we like
- One flat price at every dose for both molecules, with the dose ladder published beside it
- Three months of medication shipped up front, so there is no waiting on refills mid-titration
- LegitScript certified with a published, checkable ID
The caveats
- FDA warning letter MARCS-CMS 721472, dated 20 February 2026, to NewSelf Limited dba NewSelf, over product labelling and marketing language. As of 1 August 2026 the wording the FDA objected to was still live on the site — five months on, unremediated
- The product pages carry a badge reading 'cancel anytime', while the refund policy requires a three-month commitment and charges a full retail month as an early-cancellation fee. Those cannot both be true
- No refunds: cancelling before the doctor's review costs a $99 administrative fee, and after it nothing is refundable regardless of shipment status
